How Therapy Works

We’ll look at the issues affecting your life and bringing you to therapy, how they’re affecting you, and what you want for yourself instead. Together, we’ll come up with a plan to reduce your discomfort, to help you heal, and to move you forward to engage with life in a way that feels good to you. Each client is different and so each plan is different. My intent is to help you achieve your goals, not my goals and not society’s goals for you. And if you don’t know yet what those goals are, we’ll figure them out together.

PLEASE NOTE: I am unable to provide therapy to people who are experiencing active suicidal or homicidal ideation, people who have been hospitalized for mental health concerns within the past year, or people who are experiencing substance use disorders or eating disorders. These require specialized training and are outside of my scope of practice.

Currently, I am only offering Telehealth video sessions.

Fees

My fee structure for therapy is as follows:

·      Initial consultation (15-20 minutes): Free of charge

·      Full rate session: $180-$200/session

I offer a discount for clients paying out of pocket for their sessions. I am committed to providing affordable services and may be able to offer flexibility in my fees, if needed, based on need and frequency of sessions. Currently, all sliding scale slots are full.

I currently accept debit/credit cards, Health Savings Account (HSA) cards, and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. Payment is due at the end of each session and will be billed to the card on file. In the event you need to cancel your appointment, a 24-hour notice is required to avoid being charged for the session.

Insurance

At this time, I accept OHP HealthShare/Care Oregon insurance only. For all other insurance, I am able to provide a receipt for payment if requested and a superbill if you’d like to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company. Please check with your insurance provider to verify out-of-network benefits if you are considering this option, as reimbursement is the responsibility of the client.

No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate

In accordance with the Federal No Surprises Act of 2022, you are entitled to and will receive an annual Good Faith Estimate from me for all anticipated Out of Pocket services. Read here for more information and disclosure regarding the No Surprises Act.
